Welcome to Chenhale Holiday Cottages

Chenhale is an unspoilt and picturesque small working farm set in the hamlet of Rosenithon, which means ‘Gorse Moor’ in Cornish. This peaceful location beside the sea offers three self-catering character cottages which can accommodate between two and six guests each.

Short breaks are available out of season October to March.
(School Holidays not included)

Two of the cottages have sea views and all have wonderful gardens with rare and exotic plants. Chenhale also offers plenty of space for parking.

Nearby Godrevy Cove, once a landing place for smugglers, overlooks The Manacles – a notorious set of rocks that are popular with divers around the world thanks to a number of nearby shipwrecks. The quiet sandy beach offers excellent fishing and is only a short walk away.

St Keverne village, which is half a mile away from Chenhale, offers a shop and two pubs that serve food, a post office and award winning organic restaurant. Helston, our nearest town, is 12 miles away. It is famous as the home of the ‘Furry Dance’ (Flora Day) which fills its streets every May 8th.

The picturesque Helford River, with its unrivalled boating facilities, is a 15 minute drive away, while we are also conveniently located for days out in Falmouth, Penzance and St Ives.

Chenhale Holiday Cottages offer an idyllic holiday experience in Cornwall for all the family.

Unfortunately we cannot accept pets as we are a working farm.

A warm welcome awaits you at Chenhale, an attractive unspoilt working farm located beside the sea in the hamlet of Rosenithon.

Our business, which has been family run for several generations, is the perfect destination for discerning visitors who seek a high standard of warm, comfortable and scrupulously clean self-catering accommodation.

Our three cottages offer something for everyone. Chenhale Cottage, which can accommodate two visitors, is a listed property adjoining the farmhouse. Modros Cottage, which sleeps four, is a detached stable converted to provide a peaceful retreat with beautiful sea views. Groups of up to six are able to enjoy Bowjy Cottage, which also offers enchanting sea views.

All three cottages are full of history and character with beamed ceilings and many original features.

Located right on the South West Coast Path, Godrevy Cove is just a short walk away and is ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all as well as families with children who will love the sandy beach and tide pools.

Half a mile away is Tregellast Barton, home of the award-winning Roskilly’s ice cream, which offers a restaurant, nature trail and secluded ponds where visitors are very welcome.

Leisure activities within easy reach include horse riding, golf, gardens, National Trust properties and a full range of watersports.
